1990 5.7 260 hp volvo penta
aq570a 868273 (stamped on motor)
V03190AP GM 5.7 LG (on motor near water pump)

8328 83 FA 393-11 (on sterndrive near shift mechanism)
854021 (outdrive)
The outdrive is also stamped (89) (09)
Im guessing that means Sept 1989'

I believe the outdrive is a DP-C1
Left hand colum 9th one down is exactly what it looks like.

Anyone know for sure what outdrive I have?
I need a prop seal kit as I have water in the oil and believe those seals are the culprit. Im going to pressure test this weekend.

Im in central CT and the boat is on the coast of RI.
I can snap a picture on Saturday.

Does anyone know how to reference the numbers on the sterndrive to a drive name?

Drive Sp-A, Sp-A1, Sp-A2, Dp-A, Dp-A1, Dp-A2
They installed a few different drives on that motor.
The place I've fond that they leak first is where the shift mechanism goes through the housing.
Under the cover where the linkage hooks up.
Do a pressure test before you tear anything apart.

Thank you to all Dp-a it is! I'm going to do a pressure test Saturday and go from there. Is there a spec anywhere on how many psi to test the drive?

12psi for 15 minutes. however I have even pressure tested mine to 18psi overnight.

if you had any water in the bellows, you will also most likely need a new thrust shoulder washer and a new crush sleave
