2007 glastron gt 205 steering question

Boat: 2007 glastron gt 205 5.0

I took my boat out yesterday and noticed when turning to the right the steering wheel skips a little and then turns. I've checked power steering fluid it looks good not sure what else to check.

Any suggestions?

Check the connection where the steering cable attaches to the steering ram

I am assuming steering ram is behind dashboard. Would I be looking for something loose?

No the ram is at the stern. Your power steering hydraulic hoses are connected to it and the cable running from your steering wheel to the ram is also connected there. Check for play in the cable to steering ram, there is a large nut which connects it
