Adjusted cable and now the reverse works fine but foward is now the isssue ? any help Thanks....alot of clunking in and out of gears.

welcome aboard.

my first thought with clunking is that your RPM is too high. should be 650 RPM when going in and out of gear from neutral.

there is a bit of adjustment under the shift cover on the drive. remove the lower screw about half a dozen turns to release the cover, remove and you should see the shift lever and the cable.

Remember, it is not going to be as quite going into gear out of the water as it is in the water. The adjustment you are making is very straight forward, shifter in neutral - lever on outdrive horizontal. Expect some slop in the cable system.
