Volvo 430b sp-c help

I have a 1993 volvo 430b. The pds bearing is bad
Can I replace this from the outside? If so does anyone
Have a step by step manual on how to remove the drive?
Again it's a sp-c

I do not have step by step, but only the upper unit needs to be removed. A good search here should turn up something, I will try to find some details later if I can.

I also remember some postings where the bearing was replaced from the outside when no bearing race issues were found. Sometimes the actual PDS housing can be damaged if the bearing/race was run for a long time with issues. The success stories were for single bearing units, some configurations have 2 bearings. I will look for details on that as well if I can. Work is getting in the way of my recreational stuff, sigh.

First you need to pull the upper gear box. Follow the link above.

You most likely have the single bearing PDS bearing setup so, yes you may be able to do it without pulling the motor.
