I replaced the impeller and I can't figure out where the hoses go back on the pump. I have a 50/50 chance of getting it right? lol
Ok
1) one hose goes up to the T-stat
2) 2nd hose goes back to the transom

The raw pump outlet and inlet face the PORT side and they are positioned next to each other. I feel like a big dummy by mixing up the hoses?.. I can't figure out were they go. I tried google but no luck?.
I hope someone can help me and save me the embarrassment of going to the dealership

Re: raw water pump inlet?

Hi there, page 10-11 photo #8 should help you get it right.

Boatinfo - Volvo Penta WT series Engine Components Service Manual

Quick tip for you, carefully put the backside of your hand/fingers while making a fist on the impeller housing at engine start up. You should feel the cool water running through the housing. If you feel any heat then you have it backwards and shut it down ASAP.

The book is awesome! Can I download it so the pictures display clearer?
