I've got a Crownline 240 EX with a Volvo Penta Dual Prop Drive. I started having problems shifting into reverse, so I pulled the Shifter off today and found that the copper looking sleeve on the end of the shift cable is cracked in several places which is allowing the cable to bend and bind...Is it possible to purchase and replace just the copper sleeve? I considered trying a piece of copper tubing and just cutting it to length....Anybody tried this?
