Hi. Need some insight.
Been fighting this issue for way too long.
Part 1.
It will idle most times fine. Then I have just recently noticed the Rpm will spike to 3G but only on the gauge (engine does not rev) the. It comes back down and stalls. It will run sometimes for an hour or more before it stalls while idling. (Something overheating???)
Part 2.
When cold I can take it to wot. Run around for abit then it will just die. Then it repeats part 1 as if it had it bad fuel but filters are clean.
At first I had thought the intermittent stalling was bad fuel. I changed out volvo fuel filter. I put another filter in line between tank and filter. I changed the electric fuel pump. Ran fine a few times then it goes berserk. I have cleaned the blowback air filter. I have run it on and off.
After it stalls I can start it immediately no problem. Depending if grumpy it repeats part 1.
Second season dealing with this. I had thought I had it fixed just before it away last year as I had replaced the fuel pump and took it out on a cold fall day and run like a top.
Any ideas?
