Hi,

My heat exchanger on the port side has cracked and the engine won't turn over. It was winterized but some water was left inside I guess. Please let me know your opinions. Of course the heat exchanger has to be replaced (perhaps repaired?). But why is the engine seized? It has very few hours on it.

I think the two problems are unrelated. So the bigger problem, engine not turning over. Any advice on how to diagnose this? WD40 in the pistons a good starting point?

Not a Volvo guy...But take out the spark plugs and pull the coil wire and bump it over to see if water comes out of the holes.

If it does than id say you have a cracked block.

Volvo guy's will be along soon.

Good Luck!
