Volvo 5.0 GXiB(F) Runs poorly when fuel tank gets to 1/4

On last trip I was out for a week straight and when the fuel tank got down to about 1/4 the engine would start to run poorly sputter misfire and no longer have the ability to power up onto plane. I limped in and refuelled and after that the boat started fine, idled out of the marina, and ran perfectly for 3 days until the tank (105 gal) was back down around 1/4. Limped into the marina again and added 25gal gas and back to full power, this got me back to the boat launch and I haven't operated the boat since. I am back home now and want to address this before my next trip.

This is a Volvo GXiB(F) 5.0 GXi ~2002 w/ 500hrs.

Pull the fuel pickup tube out of the tank and see if it has any cracks in the tube. Or just replace it.
