Have a Volvo Penta 270 I/o that's not firing up, I've changed the plugs and coil, it fired up once and that's it, what am I missing or what do I try next.

Check my post about AQ125B ignition coil. It may be helpful.

BTW - I think 270 is the outdrive. What engine do you have? May be helpful to someone more knowledgeable than me.

Do you have voltage to the coil with the ignition switch in the run position?

I have a 1982 Bayliner Capri with a Volvo Penta 270 outdrive. 4 cylinder AQ125. I replaced the ignition switch a few years ago and had no problems starting her up. Now when I try to crank her up, the ignition fuse keeps popping. I checked for a pinched wire and even put in a new ignition switch but it keeps popping.
