volvo penta steering actuator

This might be a stupid question; but I was just doing some basic checks on my boat getting it ready for the new season and as I was turning the steering from one side to the other I noticed that the volvo penta steering actuator seems to have a lot of movement/play in it. Is this proper or does something need to be tightent?

Yes, the the tube shuttles back and forth, that is what makes it work.

I have a 5.7l DPSM volvo penta, the steering cylinder is stuck , i don't know how to replace it , any suggestions.. tks

You need to start a thread of your own stonelock, this thread belongs to MJ41 and his problem.
