What is sealant is used between the sections of the outdrive? Is it ok to used aviation sealant? Also what is sealant is used for ring that is down at the output shaft ( the collar that holds the 2 rubber rings)? The stuff that is in manual I can't find. Also my machanic says he uses nothing. That's way I don't use him.

Is it ok to used aviation sealant?

That's all I have ever used. Just a very thin coat, it there to prevent corrosion only, the NEW sealing rings prevent leaks.
