I have a 1985 Bayliner Capri with a AQ225D Eng. I installed The Pertronix Flamethrower 2 ignition in my Prestolite dist. and the Flamethrower 2 coil. The problem I am having is that I can start the Eng. just fine but when I turn the Ignition switch off it does not turn the Eng. off. There was three purple wires going to the old coil & ballast resiter. I combined the wires together and connected them to the + side of the coil. 1 wire appears to be connected to the Ign. SW the second wire appears to be connected to the choke. and I think the third wire goes to the starter. If anyone has a wiring diagram or if you have done this install any info would really help.
