Volvo Penta 4.3 Gi PWTR - acceleration problem after 2500 rpm

Hi everybody,

Before all, I apologise for my lack of vocabulary, I am not a native english speaker!

My problem started few days ago, I have a four winns boat with a vovlo 4.3GI PWTR motor (1999).
The engin starts fine and run perfecltly untill 2500 rpm. But then it doesn't want to go faster than that and when I shut the engin off I hear a noise like a air leak during approximatly 6 seconds.
Oil and temp are OK, so I don't understand what it could be...

Any ideas?

I am having the same problem with the exact same motor. My 4.3GL PWTR idles great and accelerates perfectly until it gets up to 2500 RPM. I am thinking it is a fuel problem so I am going to put a new fuel filter on it tomorrow and hope that solves my problem. Bobla, I would start out doing the same thing. I will let you know how that works for me!
