volvo penta starter and altinator wiring diagram please help

Does anyone have a starter and altinator wiring diagram for a volvo penta AQ231A motor? Some "friends" tore apart the motor and they have no idea where the wires go on the starter and the altinator. The boat is a 1988 sunrunner 21.5
Any help would be great.

hey don. I lied to you.. of course on accident but the motor is a AQ:confused 211 A and I have a lot more wires "dangling" than what it shows on the diagram. Would there be a difference in the boat motors wiring diagram than what you sent me?

The diagram show all that should be there for the engine, hard to say what former owners have added to it.
Might want to go HERE and download an owners manual, it will include your trim/tilt wiring.
