How to clean the Volvo lower unit exterior

I have a Volvo Penta SX and the bottom of the lower unit is stained frm sitting in water that has a lot of auatic vegetation. I've tried Meguire's bota and RV cleaner, steam cleaning and power washing with no luck.<br /><br />What can I use to clean the lower unit and bring it back to its original color and finish?<br /><br />Thank you

sometimes nothing will remove it. most cl;eaners that are aggresive enough will remove the paint as well.<br /> a product called on-off may work but read the label very carefully
