Volvo penta manifold drain question?

I have a 2007 volvo penta 3.0 gas motor, and I am curious if you guys drain the manifold after each use. I run my boat in saltwater, and always flush afterwards. I just replaced the exhaust manifold and riser, and I want to take proper care to ensure they last as long as possible. There is a drain on the manifold, and one on the side of the block I guess. Should I drain these each time or is it better to leave the water in? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Volvo penta manifold drain question?

Actually, the presents of air is more of a problem than just leaving the water in it. The only reason to drain, is to prevent freezing. From the looks of your location, that's not a big problem. After flushing, just leave the water in it.
Might want to look into a product called Salt-Away it really helps when flushing after salt water use using the mixing unit and muffs.
