Shift cable for a Volvo Penta cobra drive

I am just about to embark on an adventure of replacing the shift cable on my 1996 fourwinns 225 sundowner with the Volvo penta cobra sx drive. My question is what cable do I need to purchase and is this an easy job or will I be hurling wrenches across my garage and kicking my dog? Any help would greatly be appreciated..

with the Volvo penta cobra sx drive.

You need cables with the universal ends, like the one shown. Standard Morse 33C cables. Your old cable should have the length stamped into the cover of the cable, if not, just measure for length.

is this an easy job

Depends on your abilities and the access to each end of the cable. Some are fairly easy, others are a pain.
