Trying to Service Gimble 1995 Volvo Penta DP-C1. How to pull main swival pins?. Got the helmet up. The hoses disconnected. Looks like the 2 pressed pins with allen bolt locks has to be removed to back off unit. How do you remove these pins without the special tools nobody owns. Thinking about my slide hammer with customized bolt thru washer and nut.

With the helmet detached and the steering turned you can push the pins all the way through. I just replaced the driveshaft bellows on mine but will have to tear it down again to change the inside bearing due to the vibration. I have been checking in to it and some people say the engine has to be removed in order to change this bearing. Looking at the drawings I am unsure. I don't think they call it a gimble bearing in this set up on the DP-C1
