I have a 2004 volvo 5.0GL with an SX out drive. I left my friend and his 10 year old in the boat for twenty minutes. My friend let his kid play with the tilt trim until it "just quit working". So I am thinking he may have burned the motor, but I have no power to the trim switch and the 10amp fuse is not blown. I cannot find another breaker/fuse that would deprive the pump unit of power. Would the motor being fried cause this? I have a wiring diagram of the pump and cannot see where it would do so. I guess need help finding a breaker/fuse because I have given it my best shot.

You have a 50A circuit breaker on the engine. It's a push button to reset if it popped.

Where is it on the engine? Is that breaker only for the tilt/trim system?

I don't know, you didn't give a model or serial number. Look around on the engine, they aren't that hard to find. It's a red button about 3/8" in diameter with a white 50 on it.

Thanks a lot for your help. I will look for it. Is this breaker solely for the tilt/trim unit?
