Repower glasply boat

I am the owner of a 79 Glasply 19' hardtop classsic northwest ocean boat. It is equipped
with a AQ140 engine and 280D outdrive. I would like to put a 1993 DP230 in with
the aquamatic drive. Both drives have 2:15:1 ratios. The cutouts look similar. Has anyone done this switch or have knowledge about it? Thanks. fotofix

Are you sure it's a DP230? I know what a 230 is, but I have never heard of a DP drive put on any 4 cylinder engine,.... ever.
