I have a campion 215 explorer with the above engine assy.this is the origional assy.I have had this unit for years.1991.I service it all the the time.It has been great.I noticed water in the leg so drained it rinced it out there is no residual oil left.I pressure tested as per your previous blogs, 15 psi for over 1 hour and no change on the guage 15psi.I changed the plug orings and new oil.took it out for a hour or so and a small amount of water again. these are all the numbers from the warranty papers and owners card.250A/sp ser # 2200111187....spec 868261........trans type 3012099673.....transom 1101593592.....stern drive spec 854019 prop is RH 15/17 ....is there a service manual for the SP-A I can down load. also can you tell me the gear RATIO. Is there another test I can preform.thak you in advance.

Have you checked the ujoint bellows for water?
Did you do a vacuum check on the drive as well as a pressure check? all while the drive was empty of gear lube?

Hello Don..... I replaced the bellows last year and the ujoints.I have not vacuum checked the leg.the water has just started to enter the leg.

Doesn't matter, check them again. All you have to do is remove the clamp from the drive side of the bellows and carefully seperate the bellows from the drive and look in the bellows.

thanks Don.....I was not sure water could enter the leg via the bellow.thought it was only into the bell housing thanks
