I have a '86 Bayliner Trophy withn a volvo aq131a.
The timing belt went a couple weeks ago. have replaced the belt according to the manual. While it was in bits I thought I may as well change the distributor cap, rotor arm & points.
Everything is installed correctly but it wouldn't fire. There was no spark coming from the coil. Changed the coil for a new 1.Still no spark.
I have a silver coloured box with red, black, white & green wires coming from it. the green 1 goes to the coil, black goes to earth, the white wire joins the red ignition switch wire, the red 1 appears to go into the wiring loom.
I cant find any mention of it in the manual.
Ha sany1 got an idea of what the box is & can that cause my lack of spark from the coil?
Thanks
