I just bought a used very low hrs chaparral 205 SSE with volvo 4.3 GL penta sx drive.
boat is very good after only very small issue we put over 10 hrs on it in two weekend.
The fuel consumption seem quite high i used well over 75 us gl in 10 hrs.
The only real issue with the boat right now is the tach it seem to show only about half of the real reading like at full trotle it show 2200 rpm it will idle at under 500 but by soud you easy can tell it well more.
there is adjusteme in back of the tack to adjust it to 4-6-8 cyl and it is in the right spot.
it seem i will have to replace it, any body had the same problem and was able to fix.
