That is about all that boat will do. It's not a planing hull boat, it's a semi displacement hull.
26 ft is a lot of boat for a single 110 hp engine to push around.

7 is actually a little slow even for that boat, they usually run in the 10 and 14 mph range. If you used the boats water pressure speedometer, they are far from accurate at the slower speeds.

how does the duo prop work?

You can't use a DP with a 4 cylinder engine. Not enough motor to spin 2 props, besides, there isn't a gear ratio for the 4 cylinder engines either.

Would be a good idea to check the prop and make sure it's not spun the hub.

I have the same boat with a AQ125-A four cyl. 115 hp. I have a 15X15 LH prop and at 4200 rpms with two adults on board my GPS will show (at best) great conditions 17mph. I have found that my trim position matters. I have to keep the bow down to get this speed and still keep control of the steering. I have had one of the old Explorers off and on for over 25 years. Great economical weekend Cruiser but here is a hint, the name of my boat is KNOT SO FAST:)
