exhaust manifold OMC to Volvo. Possible ?

Hello all,

quick question. I currently have the 'log style' exhaust manifolds on my OMC ford with a 302, likes the ones seen here

Is it possible to swap in these volvo manifolds

can I just get some longer exhaust tubes and run to the intermediate? these will save me a couple of hundred bucks.

Well I hesitate to say that it would just because I don't know the specifics between the Volvo/OMC systems. Motor mounts and thermostat housing/hoses would likely be a bit different. The kicker will be getting the center-risers to mate with the OMC Cobra exhaust tube, but I'd imagine you could make most anything work.

The problem with the Volvo-style is that they may have a taller riser than what you can fit, and you'll still have to buy the piping/rubber couplers that can mate the riser exit with the exhaust y-tube behind the engine. The kit in the eBay listing has everything you need, I'd just spend the extra $150 to get everything in one package.
