Hey Group.
Had an issue with my 1989 Cobalt 271C going into forward. Took to shop fluids changed and they say they checked linkage to unit and made sure it was normal.
They put in the water and it worked perfect.
Took a ride across the lake and first time I put in neutral then tried to shift forward would not go into gear for a few seconds.
Next morning go up and shifted into gear no problem. took to shop and parked and still shifted perfect.. decided it was ok and left and leaving the marina thought I would check again and sure enough would not go into forward.
So took back to shop and gave up.
Two questions.
First, does that sound like unit is worn out.. it has 475 hours.
Second, where can we get parts if needed.. I have been told it could take several weeks to get the parts and we could be off the water for the summer.
