I have two AQ131D Motors. Purchased boat that was sitting for 8 years and have been slowing working on it. Got both motors started and running but both were running hot so I just took off the exhaust manifolds and found them both in pretty bad shape and was going to order two new ones when I started cleaning up the heads and taking off the gaskets. On the back exhaust ports on both motors, there was rust buildup and the backs of the exhaust ports between the two bolts appeared to have broken off. I took out the round metal type ring that was inserted in the rear exhaust ports. Only the rear exhaust ports are rounded and the other three are more square shaped. What is the part number for this rounded metal insert, I don't see it on the Volvo schematics? It appears that this metal ring is the piece that was causing all the rust buildup. Is this a common thing? Are my heads ruined? Any help or suggestions please. Aloha!!!
