I need some tips! When my boat was winterized last winter I had a mechanic come and do it so I could watch and learn from him (I'll do my own from now on). We realized the previous owner must have replaced the original drain plug with a stainless steel screw. Who knows when he did it or when the last time the oil was changed, but thankfully the dipstick still looks clean and relatively clear. Anyway... he tried for a solid half hour to get the screw out. Even hit it with a torch for a while to warm up the metals. It won't budge and he eventually gave up and said he couldn't do it. I decided to leave it until spring to deal with it.
Any ideas on how to get this darn screw out? It's not even budging and I'm scared of stripping it.
