Process for removing a Volvo SP sterndrive needed

I have a 1989 Excel 18 foot boat with a Volvo 2.3L engine and an SP sterndrive. I discovered the hard way that the main bellows had failed, and nearly sank as a result. I now need to remove that sterndrive unit in order to accommodate R&R of the main bellows. Can anyone please provide a step-by-step process for doing this? And, if so, if it includes all the info necessary in order to R&R the Bellows....that would be very helpful. I've done this task numerous times on Mercruiser units...but this is my first Volvo and it's clearly VERY different! I could use some help! Thanks! Tom Dickinson

Have a look at this thread, should give you a good idea what you need to do and look at, (including the intermediate bearings) which you had water running through. They need replaced.
