I recently purchased a 1985 Bayliner Trophy with a Volvo Penta 4 cylinder engine. I am doing a tune-up and I originally thought the engine was an AQ125 and I installed four NGK BP6ES spark plugs in it. There is no model number on the valve cover but it is marked with the recommended plug which is a Bosch W6. The W6's are a shorter reach but the W6DC is the same as the NGK's that are in there. What plugs do I need?

Thanks

Re: Volvo 4cyl Spark Plugs

All of the Volvo SOHC engines used around 85 used the Bosch W6DC spark plugs (or their equiviance). Never heard of one using a W6.
You might have a look on the flywheel cover at the starter, there should be a metal tag with the model and SN of your engine.
