I am looking at buying a used 2002 glaston with a volvo 3.0 pento, but the problem is the lower unit has been repaird. the picture is not the actual lower unit it's just to show you where the damage is. The red is where is it is welded and the black is where its cracked. Will i have to replace this lower unit if i chose to buy this boat? Thanks in advance for your feedback:)

if it was damaged where you said I would find another boat if you are dead set on that one make an offer as if you need to immediatly pay for a new lower unit.

Ask the seller how it happened...we know they hit something.
Get the price of a new lower and figure a couple hundred or so for labor and deduct that from the negotiated price.
Hopefully you are getting a good deal on the boat to start with.
I would be concerned as to how well the rest of the boat was taken care of.
When were the bellows and impeller last changed and all of that..Factor that into the selling price too...

he said that he hit a rock at a high speed at no more than 40mph, and yes the price was discounted by $1000 and he is willing to negotiate another price
