Unfortunately, my outdrive met up with a submerged rock last week. The lower unit has a gouge w/ a small crack that was leaking oil. Luckily I was only a 20 minutes away from the boat ramp, and got it up and out.
Now I'm thinking about rebuilding the lower unit. I'm quite handy with doing mechanical repairs, but am going to need some instructions.
I'm about to purchase a repair manual and am looking for opinions on what would provide the best instruction on a complete outdrive tear down and rebuild.
Do you recommend the Seloc books or the Volvo repair manuals? I haven't had the opportunity to see either so hopefully someone can share some opinions.
