We recently purchased a 76 Bayliner w/ Volvo Penta 130C 170. Boat runs great out of the water for 30-40 + easily, cold starts & idles well. However, after cruising around 30-40 minutes, motor spits &chokes and stalls, then is very difficult to start . any suggestions?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard New1.....

You've got a Fuel Delivery Issue.......
It could Possibly be anything from Crap in your Fuel Tank,.....
All the way thru the Fuel System, to Crap in your Carb.....

Have you Tuned Up the Motor,+ Changed the Fuel Filters yet,.....
That's where I'd start......

Here is how you can test the boats fuel system. Hook it all up and go for a ride and see what happens when the problem occurs.

If you do show problems, have a 6 gallon outboard tank handy to get you home. just hook it up the the fuel pump.
