What year did volvo switch to side motor mounts on the 3.0L??

Anyone know what year volvo began using side motor mounts on their 3.0L engine. Were the previous front/rear motor mounts the same as Mercruiser or the same location at least? I am interested in repowering my boat with a volvo 3.0/SX drive setup. Thanks!

The last I heard, you cold order the 3.0L with side or front mount.
Don't remember the exact year the sides came out, thinking it was around 03.
