I got a 1975 V6 Volvo-Penta overheating. Is there two water pumps on this? Should I replace both if so. I replaces the one on the front of the motor about 7 years ago. What are the part numbers of the impellors ect that I will need. Thanks a million for the help.

Going to need a model number of your engine, since Volvo didn't use a V6 in 75. They were first used in 1990.
There may be a metal tag on the side of the block back by the oil filter.
There are 2 water pumps on the front of the engine, the raw water pump attaches to the crankshaft pulley and is the raw water pump. The other is a water pump similar to a car and known as a circulation pump on boats.
You should be concerned about the raw water pump. The impeller probably needs replaced. They should be replaced every other year.

It is a AQ170. Pulled the impellor and it is bad. Where do I get a new one from for a good price. Part number on the old one was 831182. Also need the gasket.

That engine is an INLINE 6, not a V6, Go to the top of this page, click on Volvo Penta Parts, then follow the links.
