I've read here that when replacing the drive bellows, it's easier if you remove the pivot housing. I also know that you don't need to replace the exhaust bellows. Is it possible to leave the exhaust bellows attached when removing and lowering the pivot housing to gain better access to the drive bellows, or do folks just disconnect the exhaust bellows at the transom so you don't have to deal with the large snap ring?

They are easy to remove, and easy to replace. Never done a drive shaft bellows without removing them. Dave-R
