87 Wellcraft Antigua 5.7 GSI Fuel Injected was cruising along at 4000 rpm when engine suddenly stalled and cut right out. I don't here the fuel pump when I turn ignition on will the relay go bad just like that and where is it located? Thanks

fuel pump relay is in the box mounted on the motor

I am guessing the motor is a transplant. in '87 there were no fuel injected boat motors.

Relay or fuse and both are close to each other in the box

Ok turns out circuit breaker for pump tripped could it be because I was running at 4000 rpm for a while some sort of cut out to prevent overheating?

I doubt it, the pump should have no problem keeping up at any speed. Check wiring connections for a corrosion. If all clean then its could be the relay or the pump
