Looking for some fast help. Leaving on a trip tomorrow. Basically the sticky link isn't working on how to adjust the trim sensor. I've searched google and a lot of info goes back to broken link that won't open. I remember something about 11ohms with multimeter...... please help. Thank you

Install the sensor loosely so you can rotate it, put the drive all the way down, then rotate the sensor while someone watches the trim gauge. Adjust until the gauge reads full down.

It's a brand new Volvo penta transom shield. When I take switch off and rotate nut on switch, the gauge will never go to the full down position. When I short the wires going to gauge the needle goes all the way down. When open the needle on gauge goes all the way up. Basically proving gauge is working correctly.

Sounds like a bad sensor. It should read 10-12 ohms at full down, at least on my 95 OMC/Volvo drive.

You can check specifically for your drive here.
