That is the same part number used on carb'd models so it should work fine.

Any 5A or bigger diode would work. Physically bigger is better since less likely to break. Since its just going to the relay, there is hardly any current.

Thank you. Yeah. We ran the line from that fuel pump directly into the carb. It appears it's doing what it needs to do I think, but the boat wouldn't start. Seems it might not be getting spark, it's been parked for over here or not sure yet. I am curious if we left the wiring to the fuel pump the way it is if that would be a problem

Yes, it would be a problem. Likely its set up to come on with just the ignition on. That means the fuel pump can run without the engine running. Very dangerous.
