270 v6 buick engine with only one bearing on drive shaft?

I have a buick v6 225 oddfire with a 270 drive. Everything I've read says there should be 2 bearings on this drive, but all evidence points to only one bearing. The first two photos are from the engine side of the flywheel housing. There doesn't appear to be a place for a bearing.
The last three photos are of the drive shaft with one of the slip rings attached, and part of the torn up bearing. I only see evidence of one bearing and bearing surface on the drive shaft.
1. Is this possible with a v6? I know I have an odd combination.
2. I'm having a hard time getting the outer race of the bearing out. I started to cut it with a Dremel tool, but I'm afraid of cutting into the flywheel housing. Is there a better way to get the race out now that the flywheel housing is removed?

...3. Also, once I separate and clean up the drive shaft, is it going to be smooth enough to use without tearing up the new bearing?

older PDS housings only had one bearing.

that shaft looks bad. not sure it will clean up. the yoke is junk and will need to be replaced.

Thanks Scott. I have access to plenty of yokes. I'm picking up a drive that I'll replace this one with tomorrow for $50, but it doesn't have the PDS. I'm going to try to salvage this one best I can.
