Tips on removing worm screw bearing from tilt mechanism?

First post on here with ya guys, so I apologize in advance if I make some rookie mistakes as far as describing my situation. So the tilt mechanism on my Volvo Penta (no idea what model) recently started chattering while being raised or lowered, so I pulled it on out of the boat and dug in. The cause of my chattering looks to be my worm screw ball bearing. I have the worm screw out, but can't get the inner snap ring holding the bearing in out. As I'm sitting here looking at it, it looks like if I can get this guide ring out I should be able to get access to my snap ring with the pliers. Figuring out how to get the guide ring out is proving quite difficult. Any suggestions would be great!

I have changed 1 and it was mine.
I could not figure out how to get that out either. I tried heat with map gas but it would not budge. Finally i used a chisel and hammer to get it out and bought a new one off ebay.
Sent you a PM

the guide ring seems to be available as a new part.
This helps.
Get a dremel tool.
grind a slot in the guide ring.
so instead of a circle, it looks like a letter C.
It will fall out.
You actually may be able to reuse it.
It centers the motor I believe
