'06 Volvo Penta 5.0l fuel pump continuously running

I have a 2006 5.0l carburated volvo penta. I'm having a problem with the fuel pump running continuously as long as the battery is switched on. I've replaced the fuel pump relay and the ignition switch, but the problem persists. Any thoughts? Thanks!

How long have you had the boat?
When did you first notice it?
The motor is a 5.0 what. GL, GXI, other?

I bought it new 10 years ago. It just started this month. It's the GL (carburated) engine.

Looks like you have 2 diodes in line (items 16). If they short out it will keep power on the pump. Remove the relay and disconnect the pump, then measure front to back on the diode. It should read high resistance in one direction, and low in the other.
