Hello, I have removed my actuator and cleaned and prepped everything, but don't know where the "backup" goes
From the super awesome post about replacing seals:
They used Piston Seal --- Poly-Pack --- U12-0.62-SQB and
Hercules Urethane Backup --- 575-208.
I have learned the seal cup shape ] points towards the piston, and to remove the attaching end from the shaft by putting the chrome shaft gently in a vise, but do not know where this "backup" rubber seal goes
