I started a power steering and v-belt discussion in a previous thread for the full genesis of this question....
In the process I realized the PS really doesn't add much value for my 20' boat (Skipjack 570 w/DPA). I do however want to add AP.
1. So can I simply remove the PS parts, and proceed with the hydraulic retrofit?
2. Is there anything I need to do to address removing the load of the v-belt and power steering pump?
3. What is your recommendation for a hydro retro kit, and why?
4. Am I off-base about this and missing something?
