How to properly adust shift cable DP-C1

Can anybody give me the quick version on how to adjust the shift cable on my penta DP-C1.

Im kind of getting tired of indicating this. Its a free download

remove shift cover
pull pin from clevis
disengage cable and clevis from shift arm
put control lever in neutral
adjust clevis on cable until it lines up with shift arm
reinstall pin on clevis
reinstall cover.

I have found 1 manual that is even close to mine and it doesnt quite make sense. Thats why i have asked. When i got to the volvo site, there isnt any available manuals under my combination.

I found your exact drive manual, so you should be able to as well. remember, the drive doesnt care if you have a 5.7 GM motor or a 5.8 FoMoCo motor. the drive only cares that the input shaft is turned by something.

Seems to shift fine out of the water. I did adjust the nut so that the slack in the cable was in the center of the throw of the arm. When the shift cable was unhooked, the controls operated smoothly.

Well see what its like in the water this week.
