So i took my new to me boat out for the first time this weekend. I wasnt able to get it completely maxed out for speed on trim. I hit 51 MPH, with a little trim to go in decently choppy water before having to slow down. I think it would maybe do 55.
But the motor was only running 3800-3900 RPM. Volvo says 4400 RPM, and general boating say 4800 peak RPM.
I believe my props are B7 which is a 21? Do i have to much prop on the boat? Do i need to go to a little less prop to gain more top speed and probably launch better?
