1949-1959 was the years the 3.6 were made by Scott Atwater. The only year I see a serial number that looks similar was 1949. I didnt see that exact serial number you posted anywhere. Maybe you could post a picture.:)

There is something wrong with your numbers.
133 means Scott Atwater (or Scott/McCulloch)
6 or 8 is the year 1956 or 1958
Reverse the last two digits of the remaining four numbers and you get the year 1065 reverse 65 and you get 56---1956
(The complete last four numbers are the Scott / McCulloch model number. 1065 is the model number, made in 1956)

SO:

133-6-1065 is a 1956
133-8-1085 is a 1958 (or 1959 because they sold left-over 1958's as 1959 models
1959 was the last year of Scott McCulloch Firestone production.
-1036 can't be true because that would be a 1963 and McC wasn't building Firestones that long. OR maybe they did make some for Firestone under a special contract that are not in the history list that I have. Maybe a "sale" or "close-out" item (?)

Thanks again for your time and help in identifing the 3.6 motor I bought. the numbers indicate it's a 1958 model. After researching the history of Scott/Atwater and the sell in 1956 to McCouluch, were there any 3.6 motors manufactured in 1959 or were they last years stock from 1958 sold over. I know this sounds a little detailed, But it has been referred to as a 58 or maybe 59. Would'nt it have a 9 designation on the stock number if it was put together in 59? Just curious

Not necessarily. There also were other motors from other mfr's that did the same thing. Good deal for the dealers that had a bunch of unsold ones stacked up in the warehouse. But you suggested actually assembled in that year. Sorry, I don't know the answer to that one.
