Gamefisher 7.5 clutch eska

I have a gamefisher 7.5 outboard from 1977
The clutch on the left is my original clutch. The one on the right I just got off a parts motor.
That one seems to be missing the sleeve over the spring, or did they stop using the sleeves?
Any help would be appreciated.

I had a 76,,and mine looked like one on the left.The key hits a ridge inside so I guess the spring is covered.What yr. is one on right??Do you have any manuals on your motor?

Left one is a 77 and I think the one on the right is too. Mine came apart but I dont know if thats why it is no good. if i can get the other one apart, I can use the sleeve off mine but idk if taking it apart damages it
