Sears 3.5

Just picked up a sears 3.5 that hasent run in years, I've been wrenching all my life so I have it started and runs for a few min. then seams to runs out of fuel so I'll rebuild the carb and go from there. My question is where is the model no. located and how do I date this thing and any input would be helpful.
